Fully functioning luxuriant jewel case with 4 page pull out booklet. The case is made from crushed and recycled championship surfboards, Marshall stacks, Strats and old Fender reverb units mercilessly torn from vintage Twin Reverbs whilst their owners looked on in horror whilst gaffa taped to Andy's bicycle.

The paper is also recycled but from pulped down copies of 'Break Point', the Gorgie Domesday Book (1532), old west Edinburgh phone directories, the newspaper in which the Holy Grail is still wrapped (Andy has almost exclusive access to this) and some of Martin's old school jotters.

All true, you know. If it gets really cold you can also use the case as an ice scraper for your windscreen. It's truly the Swiss Army Knife of CDs and well worth the price.

First - where is this 'Gorgie' place? Well, if you're from Edinburgh, you'll know that its sort of between Haymarket and Saughton with Murrayfield and Shandon at either side. If you're not from Edinburgh, it's here -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorgie .

The surfing connection was a random suggestion - and also the first track we did was Chappin on the High Tens - which really is surf music - sort of. The idea just stuck after that.

This album has a humble origin story. Discussed on Dundee Terrace outside the Guru Balti apres curry, the original idea was purely to get ourselves into a rehearsal room with Andy playing some bass lines (really, any basslines, whatever came to mind in the moment) with Martin playing drums. Martin is a self confessed rubbish drummer, but we didn't know any real drummers who would realistically get involved in such nonsense. The plan then was for Martin to take the bass and drum mixes home and add some random guitar parts over the top of whatever appeared. The goal was to maybe achieve a couple of decent minutes of music that weren't entirely rubbish.

However - the first batch of bass and drum sessions turned out pretty good - and the ideas that came out over the top of them felt inspired - and then the whole project grew appendages. A year or so later after much tinkering we ended up with these twelve tunes on the left.

Considering it was all done on a 2003 digital portastudio with no compression whatsoever, we think the results are braw. Which means good, if you're not from Scotland.

So fire on the headphones, get your speedos on (and thermals, obviously), pour yourself a large malt whiskey and enjoy the sounds of two guys entirely making things up as they go along. Let us know what you think. Unless you think we suck, of course, then don't bother.
